Harry didn't have a lot of time to be proud of himself for being able to stay ahead of Spider-Man or he would have been. He spared a quick glance to see which way Spidey was headed before making a choice-- which ended up being exactly what he predicted him to do. Because of course he was going to get a little overeager and hopeful that he gave himself a fighting chance there.

At least he had enough foresight to acknowledge that using his body would be a bad idea against a superhero with amped up strength, because when he came around, he swung the glider in an attempt to strike Spider-Man with the edge of it.
